Swansboro Rotary Club King Mackerel Blue Water Tournament is now one of the most important fundraising events. In the beginning, the tournament's prize purse was just $10,000 with less than 100 players. Lee Moore was appointed master of ceremonies and the prize purse surpassed $100,000 by 1988.
